Camp Allegro

Camp Allegro is our original music day camp for all youth ages seven to eighteen.  Campers of all abilities and backgrounds are welcome, including those who don't yet play an instrument but wish they did!  Instruction is offered for ALL instruments: strings, brass, woodwinds, voice, percussion, piano, and organ.

Campers will play in chamber groups, small ensembles (including piano ensembles), and large ensembles such as band, orchestra, and choir.  Beginning classes on various instruments are also offered (specific instruments subject to availability); campers will also take a theory class based on their level of knowledge.  Campers may also choose to take electives such as art, photography, jazz band, fiddling, jazz improv, ukulele, chimes, percussion, guitar, and organ.
Concerts by our faculty (comprised of professional musicians and experienced teachers) and recreation round out the day at Camp Allegro Wichita.

All campers will participate in the Thursday and Friday evening concerts.  Concerts usually begin at 5:45 p.m on Thursday and 6:00 on Friday.  Campers are to bring their lunches and an additional sack lunch for Thursday dinner; pizza will be provided for dinner before the Friday concert.

Camp dates are June 24-28.  Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (campers stay on Thursday and Friday for the concerts; they will bring a 2nd sack lunch for dinner on Thursday, and we serve pizza for dinner on Friday). Tuition for the session is $240.   Click on our link on the left for the 2019 Brochure and application for registration materials.
