Camp Allegro

Camp Allegro is our original music day camp for all youth ages seven to eighteen.  Campers of all abilities and backgrounds are welcome, including those who don't yet play an instrument, but wish they did!  We offer instruction for ALL instruments: strings, brass, woodwinds, voice, guitar, percussion, piano, and organ.

Campers play in chamber groups, small ensembles (including piano ensembles), and large ensembles such as band, jazz band, orchestra, and choir.  We also offer beginning classes for various instruments (specific instruments subject to availability) and music theory classes, catered to each camper's level of knowledge.  Campers may also choose to take electives, such as art, photography, jazz band, fiddling, jazz improv, ukulele, chimes, percussion, guitar, and organ.  Rounding out the day at Camp Allegro Wichita are daily concerts by our faculty (comprised of professional musicians and experienced teachers).

Camp dates are June 19-23Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Wednesday; camp extends into the evening on Thursday & Friday for concerts featuring all campers. All campers will participate in the Thursday and Friday evening concerts.  The Thursday & Friday concerts usually begin at 5:45 p.m on Thursday and 6:00 on Friday.

Campers should bring their own daily lunches, plus an additional sack lunch for dinner on Thursday; pizza will be provided for dinner preceding the Friday concert.
